Everyone at Waterloo Dental Centre wishes our patients and neighbours a happy Halloween! This year, the spooky fun happens on Saturday, October 31, 2026, and we can’t wait to see all the creative costumes around uptown Waterloo.

From families out trick-or-treating to students heading to Halloween parties, it’s a great night to enjoy with the people around you.

We’re not here to take the candy away. We just have a few easy tips to keep your teeth happy while you enjoy it:

  • Eat sweets in one sitting instead of picking at them for hours.
  • Choose chocolate over sticky gummies, caramels and taffy when you can.
  • Rinse with water after treats, and go easy on sugary drinks.
  • Chew sugar-free gum after snacking to help your mouth produce saliva.
  • Brush with fluoride toothpaste and floss before bed.

If you’re a student, Halloween weekend can mean late nights and snacking. Keep a toothbrush handy and try not to skip your nighttime brushing, even if the party runs late.

Stay safe while you celebrate: wear something bright or reflective, plan your ride home, and keep an eye on the little ones.

If you crack a tooth on a hard candy or lose a filling, call us at 519-883-0505.

Thank you for letting us be part of this community. Have a fun and safe Halloween!
